Microwave assisted synthesis and identification of new Azo-Schiff bases with N,O Donor atoms and their Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes

The present paper describes the synthesis of two Azo-Schiff base named (2-(((2-aminophenyl)imino)methyl)-6-ethoxy-4-((Z)-phenyldiazenyl) phenol, 2-((Z)-((4-aminobutyl)imino)methyl)-6-ethoxy-4-((Z)-phenyldiazenyl)phenol) by diazotization reaction synthesized (3-Ethoxy-2-hydroxy benzaldehyde) with aniline compound to gave Al- Azo – aldehyde and reacted (O-phenylenediamine or1,4-butanediamine) bases compounds. All new derivatives (ligands complexes Ni(II) Cu(II)) were identified melting points, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, Mass, molar conductivity magnetic susceptibility. ligands are coordinate metal ion nitrogen atom azomethine oxygen hydroxyl group form complex square planer geometry Cu(II) octahedral geometry.
